My Story

I have developed a wide range of knowledge and gained 10 years of experience in strength and conditioning, sports performance and exercise science. This stemmed from my professional rugby career representing both England rugby union and  England Rugby league academy; having also served for London Wasps  and Harlequins RL. 
I studied at St Mary's University graduating with a Sports Science and Strength and Conditioning degree whilst working as an academy and second team strength and conditioning coach for Harlequins RL. 
I qualified to be a Personal Trainer  while I was at university and I started Personal Training in Clapham Junction. Alongside coaching CrossFit and CrossFit Gymnastics I also managed Personal Trainers helping them to build and sustain a business. whilst running my own  Personal Training business.

My Mission and Philosophy

   

The greatest satisfaction for me is enhancing the health and well being of my clients and empowering them to evolve into a better version of themselves.  I aim to make my clients fit for there purpose. 

Whether that is to increase athletic performance improve mobility, relieve stress from the day to day or simply look and feel bit better.


 I believe a quality strength and conditioning program is much more than just lifting weights. Although functional strength training is a critical component of all successful programmes, a comprehensive approach is necessary to experience maximal results. I place a substantial focus on Calisthenics (body weight strength). Functional Bodybuilding  Mobility and  Corrective exercise,  

I am competent in modifying programmes, workouts and exercises to meet the individualised needs of each person. I have experience in and  aim to address movement dysfunction and A symmetry  as part of my performance and injury prevention strategy. 

 I aim to earn the respect of my clients by demonstrating passion and genuine commitment to the goals in hand.

Hypertrophy

My experiences in fitness training include a focus on Muscle Building. The unique program I’ve developed will create a lean, sculpted physique, boost the metabolism, and improve your overall health and movement patterns . Muscle hypertrophy is a term for the growth and increase of the size of muscle cells. The most common type of muscular hypertrophy occurs as a result of weightlifting, and resistance exercise.

Calisthenics

The word calisthenics comes from the Greek words kallos (beauty) and sthenos (strength). Using little to no equipment. Essentially bodyweight strength or simply using ones bodyweight as resistance. This form of training also improves, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Strength and Conditioning

The role of  strength and conditioning is to use exercise prescription specifically to improve athletic performance.

 Modulating aerobic, resistance, and flexibility training to suit the metabolic and physical demands of the pre-established  goals. This can also help with injury prevention and correct movement patterns  within a specific sport.  

Strength and Conditioning is  more than lifting weights – it encompasses the entire development of the athlete and what is needed to improve physical performance.

Group Training

Make your workouts more fun by training with a friend or in a group. It sometimes can be difficult to motivate yourself to train or go to the gym  Group training gives you the extra encouragement boost you need to get up and be active.
You will train harder, you will discover added energy, enthusiasm and support from fellow participants and have accountability for turning up and putting 100% effort into training.
